VW

I purchased my VW Polo sedan in May 2017,being a second had, 2016 model. Recently I had to replace my vehicle battery and to my surprise there was no radio code on the manual to reset the radio. Iv contacted VW service center who has advised that I need to book the vehicle in at a cost of R450. Who exactly was supposed to have written this code in the radio manual as the dealership has been of no assistai as well. I do understand that's its rather quite some time since the purchase but a battery lifespan is about the most 24 months, and hence had it replaced now only.
