************ Dealer of the Year Mccarthy Edwin Swales

I proposed to buy a 2014 Toyota Auris at this dealer on 28 November 2016.Finance for tge deal was approved on 29th November. I was referred to Sales Manager Marlin Chandragasen on afternoon of 30th November to discuss mag rims on vehicle prior to me taking it.He consented to this and referred me to fitment centre to choose set of rims to the vslue of R5000.We agreed that I wss taking vehicle. We agreed that I would sign OTP the following day as salesman was having printing issues and was informed it was fine as vehicle was going for scratch repairs on the day.I returned following day ,1 December to sign OTP anf was taken to Marlins office and shown other cars.I stated to him that I was comfortable with the deal made the previous day.He then mentioned that the vehicle was sold to another customer that previous afternoon!!! I reminded him that this was highly ********* as we had a deal already in principle. I complained to the Dealer Principal Mr Zungu who promised to call back in 15 minutes and did not. After sending emails to him he promised to source suitable vehicle and to date has not.I have forwarded complaint of ********* service to Mccarthy customer service and Bidvest helpline and have not heard anything from yhem.I have forwarded concerns to Franchise Manager Hendrik Vermaak a week ago and have not heard from him either. Is it impossible for a large dealership like Bidvest to keep up to its principles and honour customers service? Clearly such practice is commonplace at Mccarthy as their is no urgency to give me any satisfaction after given such poor and ********* service.
