Unacceptable Service

I’m totally disgusted with the interaction I had with an individual by the name of “Uncle Ronnie” at McCarthy VW Umhlanga. I brought my VW Polo in on Wednesday , 10/10/2018 as I heard a metal on on metal sound , he approached me in a helpful manner and said he needed to take the car for a test drive, so I agreed.. He barely drove it 10 Meters , however he told me that my “Inner Brakes” were worn out and I needed to replace both brakes and discs immediately and I must not worry about the queue because he will get the boys to do it in the back quickly.

He then proceeded to go inside and attain a quote for me, he asked the ladies if he could use their PC and they said that they are busy so we went outside , looked at his phone for 3 minutes then came back inside and told me yeah it will cost +- R3600.

Bare in mind my brakes were changed in July and there’s enough life. I then continued to shop around because I felt something wasn’t right and I discovered from another reputable company that my discs just need to be skimmed. They actually took the time to put the car on the ramp and have a look.

This is pathetic service considering my car has been serviced at Pinetown and Edwin Swales and I’ve never tried to be ********** like this ever before!
