Supercilious condescending non service

I bought a car from McCarthy Toyota in 2009. I did not finance the vehicle. At the time the dealership gave me duplicate registration papers for the vehicle, something I did not realise. Now that I want to sell the car, I phoned McCarthy to request the original papers. The finance lady to whom I spoke was both supercilious and condescending, essentially telling me that McCarthy only keeps papers for 5 years and that I must "request" the papers from the licencing department. Now anyone who has ever dealt with the licencing department knows that you need a day to request anything from them. I am really not pleased with the service from Toyota. Why did they never give me the original papers? Why is it my problem to obtain the paperwork now? Is anyone from Toyota McCarthy going to contact me to resolve this problem, as they should have done right at the outset.

I wonder.
