Still Paying for a vehicle i traded in 2 mnths ago

I traded in a vehicle for purchase of a new vehicle at the McCarthy VW Constantia branch on the 26th August 2015.<br> On the 1st of September, my account was debited for the vehicle which I has traded in. I was then advised by the dealership that a refund would be done into my account in the next few days.<br> For the entire month of September, I was in contact with the sales person at the dealership on a daily basis regarding the refund that is to be made to me.<br> Toward the end of September, I had received a statement from the finance house for the vehicle in which was traded in. The sales person assured me that the vehicle is settled and I do not have to worry about the statement. On the 1st October, I was again debited for the vehicle which was traded in. I contacted the bank who then told me that the vehicle has not been settled on their side. the vehicle was only settled today<br> My account is now sitting in arrears and my debit orders are bouncing due to this. I have accumulated penalties from the bank. Who is going to pay for all of this as it is negligence by the dealership who made promises and did not deliver. This has now also affected my credit record negatively.<br> Please help?
