Sold used car under false pretences

My husband bought me a used car from McCarthy Volkswagen about 3 weeks ago and we were quite happy at first but the nightmare only started two weeks after collection of the car. We picked up a few issues and one of them were that the car was possibly involved in an accident as the paint work was different on one side of the car. We asked the sales person about this but he mentioned that they cannot tell for sure. I believe this to be lies as all dealerships go through trade in cars with a fine comb and this will most probably have been picked up then. On my way to work one morning, I got stuck on the highway due to the thermostat that gave in. The sales person collected the car after I raised this with him and he left me with a loan car that had no wipers, no indicators and no brake lights. This is when I got really fed up and decided to rather cancel the deal.

We made an appointment to see the manager and he told us that we had no other option other than keeping the car (which was a violation of my consumer rights) but luckily the branch F&I sorted the cancellation out with no extra costs to us.

I noticed this morning that the same car is advertised for the same price
