Hi,

I did a trade in with a 2016 Ford Focus at McCarthy Audi Arcadia in Pretoria. The car was financed by Std Bank and we agreed that the dealer will settle in Full and provide me with a proof of settlement.

We later realized that there will be a shortage because of the debit order I reversed. So, the debit order was reversed on the basis that the settlement issued by the bank included all the amounts due for the month of July including interests.

When we pulled the new settlement, we realized that the amount is no longer R151 000 but R152 000. The sales representative notified me of the issue in order to for me to make a payment. I did a payment of R1700 immediately to ensure that that the amount can be catered for and paid to the bank.

We also agreed that I need to pay another R1700 to make a sum of R3400, which I did. Now the amount is more than what the bank requires but they are now refusing to refund the balance of R2397. 00. Standard bank has confirmed and given me reference that McCathy Audi Arcadia has paid the amount of of R152 000.. Which is perfectly fine but now the balance can not be given to me, reason why, they also Dont know and they xanno tprovide me with the proof to show that they paid more than what was expected. If they paid R152 000 plus the remainder of the R3400 and had a proof, I'd understand.

The sales Rep Tyrone is very arrogant and non responsive to my issue. The manager is also not helping in this whole situation. I logged the issue with Audi SA and was referred back to the dealership.

No resolution yet, no communication. My money is gone and instead, they claim that I owe them R540,00 caused by interests.
