Poor Service

I took my car in for a service on the 28/07/2016 and recieved my car back on the 23/08/2016. My car was not properly fixed , had battery problems on 05/09/2016 and was took into McCarthy Volkswagen Wonderboom were experienced bad service. Took the car to Autohaus VW Centurion were I am currently experiencing worst service.

Details:

I took my car in for a service to Barons Volkswagen Woodmead on the 28/07/2016 , my service advisor was Wandel, he called late that day , at about 17:00 to inform me that they were not complete with the service I would get the vehicle the next day. I aksed how i would get home because I did not arrange for an alternative transport, they did not care and said i should make a plan. On the 28/07/2016 they phoned me to inform me that they had ordered a part, a mecatronics from Germany, they did not give me timelines. On the 02/08/2016 I contacted the VW complaint to raise my concern after not getting any feedback from the dealer on the status of the car.
Joanna Osborne assists me and she was awesome as she got back to me within 10 minutes and gave me feedback on the status of my car.

On the 18/07/2016 Barons Woodmead called me to advise that the mecatronics had been fitted and they picked up that they needed to fit a select gear lever. The lever was not available at Barons Woodmead that day and was orderd and arrived at the dealer and received my car back on the 23/07/2016.

On the 05/09/2016 when I got to Roslyn at a client , the car key would not leave the agnition and my car would not start while I was in Roslyn for work. I called the VW assist and they dispacthed a technician from McCarthy Volkswagen Wonderboom to come assist. I then drove with the technician to the McCarthy Volkswagen Wonderboom dealer. At the Dealer I was assisted by Helen Ngobeni, while Helen was capturing my details I asked her if they would drop me off or give me a courtesy car. I was 35 kilometres from my place of residence. Helen informed me that they will not drop me off because I was outside of the 10 kilometre radius from the dealer. She also said that she was not at liberty to give me a courtesy car, as she required approval from her service manager , William Ntuli. She called William and William said there was no courtesy car. I then asked her to give me my car so that i could take it to the dealership which was close to my place of residence.

"This was a failure in Service from McCarthy Volkswagen Wonderboom "

I then drove to Autohaus VW Centurion from McCarthy Volkswagen Wonderboom were an Indian Gentleman assisted me and booked the car in. I asked what are the terms and conditions for when I could get a courtesy car, he said if they had to book in the vehicle to order a part. He then arranged for a driver to drop me at my place of residence.

On the 06/09/2016, Rosina from Autohaus VW Centurion called me to inform me that they will be replacing the battery. She further said that they did not have the battery and had to order the battery from another delaer. later the same day she called back to inform me that the batery was fitted but they picked up a problem with the gear box. I then informed her that there were parts in the gearbox replaced by Barons Volkswagen Woodmead 2 weeks prior. She said that she would callthem to find out. She returned back to me and said that they had to once again order a Mecatronics unit and a select gear lever!

I asked if i will be getting a courtesy car during this time , she said No!

The service from VW is really poor. Barons Volkswagen Woodmead said the de;lay from them fixing the car was that they had to refer to the VW Headoffice for the way forward, and thats what created the delays. Its surprising that Autohaus VW Centurion did not have to contact the head office and have delays but diagnosed the car and are ready to order the part. Who is in consitant?

I rergret ever purchasing this vehicle. VW global should manage the franchise dealership better, the service i recieved, I will not encourage anyone to purchase any VW products.
