nissan mccarthy woodmead - very very bad service.

I don't even know where to start!! So my Nissan Juke has been giving me problem with my brakes for about a week, so I booked it in at Nissan McCarthy Woodmead. One of the booking consultant helped me to book the car in and before he actually booked the car in - we drove in around to confirm if he could also identify/ or feel the braking problem I was experiencing. He confirmed the problem and we booked the car in. He told me they would need to check the car first and they would call me to give me a quote before they could fix the car. I agree. He called and I was quoted R7000 + to repair the problem. I was told I had fitted generic brake pads and also I need to change my brakes discs. i then gave the go ahead to fix the problem.

He called me 2 days later and told me that the car was not fix therefore they miss diagnosed my car, so they needed more time. and I agreed. On the 4th day i called to find out what the progress was on my car - i spoke to reception who told me to wait whilst they try to get hold of the guy who help me and only to be told he was not around but i should leave my numbers and he will call me back, which he never did. I called again on the 5th day and i was again told to hold and reception told me again to leave my numbers - i told her i left my numbers yesterday already and the did not call back, and i left my numbers again and he did not call back.

on the 6th day, i called and i was i was that the guy who helped me was on leave therefore they would find out who was handling my case number, therefore they would call me back. No one called me back, i then went to nissan mccarthy Woodmead personally to find out what the problem was. they did not know were my job card was, and finally they got it, and i was told there that it was not the brake pads and brake disc but rather the brake cylinder that was faulty. Remember this is now after a week of waiting, they then told me they have ordered the cylinder and will replace it soon as it arrived. The new consultant who was helping me gave me a new quote of R11 000 to fix my car. i told him that i was not going to pay that because they misdiagnosed my car firstly by fixing something that was not broken and working and now they charging me even more. he said to me he would need to consult to his manager and he will call me. I called him 2 days later, and asked him what the outcome of the meeting was with his manager, he told me they would not charge me labour cost. i told him that, it was not fair because they fixed something that was not broken and only to release that the actual problem was way lesser the what the charged me. he could not answer me and still my car was not fixed. he called me the next and told me that the spare part has arrived and they fixing the car. That's now 10 days later and my car is still at nissan mccarthy Woodmead. he called me on the 11th day that the problem was fixed but i cant pick the car because it still needs to be washed. i agree and i told him i will pick the car up Saturday morning. When i arrive around 11am, i was told to pay R7000+, because i was already frustrated, i paid and i told him my dissatisfaction of the service they gave and what the process was to launch a complain, no process was shared and manager was not available.

i paid R7000, for replaced brakes and brake discs that were not broken and a cylinder. which the cylinder was less then the brake pads and brake disc. when they brought the car to me, it was not washed, i asked the guy again - why was my car not washed. he said he did not know why and the washers have left already. the next thing my car doesn't want to start, we checked and i was told my battery was faulty. i asked how come, that a brand new battery i had fitted 3 months go - they tested it and it confirmed that i was a new battery and the be3 was healthy. still the car refused to start after they had start it - the guy told me to go buy a new battery which costed me around R1500. i was very ****ed and i drove off home - i parked the car since then and later on same day around 7:30pm, i drove to pick up someone and just 5 kilos meters away from home, the car started giving me problems. he new battery was not charging and the lights were getting dimmer and dimmer. i could not undertstand what the problem was i called the manager Mr Thys on his cellphone and explained what happened and i booked my car in for brakes and not my car is not working. he said he could not help me i must call Nissan assist. he gave me their number, i call for about 45mins and no answer, i called and alternative that charged me R1500 to get my car home - the they check the car only to realise nissan mccarthy Woodmead has removed the plug that go's into the radiator that chargers the battery. So nissan mccarthy Woodmead forgot to plug the radiator back therefore coursing me to buy a new battery plus to pay assistance.

In conlusion. my car stayed there for 2 weeks i paid for replacements of parts that were working and not broken. i was given i bad services. i was asked to buy a battery only to realize that they had forgotten to plug the radiator back. i called Mr Thys manager who was of no assistance in total - nissan mccarthy Woodmead costed me R7000 + R1500 + R1500 = R10000 just for brakes. now I'm stuck with a battery at home and I'm over charged for nothing.

I was to give a rating , i told the lady my story and she said she will give the feedback to nissan mccarthy Woodmead and they would call me back - till today no one has ever called.
