Motor service plan
I bought my car in May 2017 and still had the balance of the service plan which according to me would have expired at 90 000km.So I’m on about +-90 000km and I call in to book my car in for service and I am told that the service plan expired in May 2019.What ever happened to being sent a courtesy email or an sms to remind you that the service plan is about to expire. As with most if not all contracts, would one not be notified of such. I then asked for a quote and they told me that I’m looking at about R7 000 plus. Not once have they sent me a letter to tell me about this and what’s more frustrating is the fact that I cannot even get an extended service plan because I have missed the mark. What is one to do as I should not be liable for these costs. In February 2019 I called them as there was something wrong with the mechanics and even then no one said anything to me.Im rather upset with this whole thing and considering taking it to the Ombudsman. As all calls are recorded I would like all my calls to be retrieved to prove otherwise. The first time I have ever received an invoice is 2 days ago.I hope something is done soon as I cannot enjoy the benefits I have paid for.Its just a total *******.
