Is it because I am a woman??

On Wednesday 23/01/2019 i bidded for Chevrolet cruz 2010 sedan which at that point didnt seem like it had so many issues. The tyres were fine and it started fine (remember that we cannot test drive a car even during showings). The burchmores catalogue for cars auction that day had all faults written for cars with faults. i let those cars pass me by because i was not interested with having to fix any car. This car was not written with any faults and it was not announced with any faults. i am a young female with a 3 year old child who just needed an affordable and safe vehicle. cash. On Friday 25/01/2019 i kept thinking twice as if something was telling me that i have paid R63000 rounded up in total for a broken down vehicle. On that same friday when collecting, suddenly 1 tyre had a puncture, the other had the spare wheel, the boot wasn't opening and the battery was dead. I asked the mechanics from burchmores to help boost up the battery and it just kept dying. They tried again and there was a knocking sound from the engine, the clutch was faulty and there was a Smokey smell. i requested to speak to someone up until i was directed to Shaun(manager, Durban). This was before i even left with the vehicle from burchmores. Shaun(after i had told him everything) said there's nothing he can do except organise a second hand battery and that i will have to fix it myself. He told me that i should've checked for issues myself (the same issues that they didn't disclose at the auction). He didn't take any notice of what i was saying and all i wanted was my money back. it has been 3 days and the car has been in the garage because when i left burchmores (basically sent out with no plan but a broken car) , the gears 2 and reverse were not working. Today only to find its the gearbox. Nothing less than R15000 to fix plus way more issues. i did serious cleaning on the vehicle +-R600.As per the consumer act, nothing was followed by bidvest burchmores. i require a full refund on cash spent. This vehicle was from the West bank auction run by bidvest mc carthy burchmores . i am very disappointed .
