I WAS SOLD A DREAM

I purchased a used Ford Fiesta Trendline 1.0 Ecoboost on 1 September 2016 with Sales consultant Abrie.

On the day of collection I only noticed the scratches on the back bumper as well as the back bumper not being "flush" with the rest of the vehicle (meaning it was visibly uneven and bumpy.

Abrie proceeded to "touch up" with spirits. I have never heard of fixing scratches with this product. I was also advised that the unevenness of the bumper is completely normal.

Within a few days my husband and father in law (An after sales manager of VW), advised of rattles in the back of the vehicle as well as in the front. Upon further investigation we discovered that the back board in the boot was broken, and to cover this up, some black insulation tape was wrapped around it. The back seat was completely loose, the rattle in the front turned out to be a blown speaker.

The material on the floor of the passenger seat was loose.

My husband discovered that the front bumper was completely loose while he was washing the car.

Since I left the car at Ford for these issues to be addressed:

The passenger side, the material on the floor is still loose, even after Ford attempting to repair it.

The scratches on the frame on the drivers side was not repaired as discussed.

The scratches on the bumpers look like they were touched up with some beige looking product. And upon even further inspection, the stone chips were not repaired and there is rust!!!!!

I am not happy. My father in law advised that the car must have been in an accident from behind judging from the back board being broken, the back seat being loose, as well as the scratches on the bumper. if this is absolutely not the case then it is a factory fault. one way or the other, I do not think it is fair and just that I paid R4000 more for a vehicle than its actual retail value (over and above registration and smash and grab which i am not happy with, there are still bubbles.) and I have to sit with a practically new car with so many problems.

If I decide to resell, a dealer as well as a consumer will scrutinize and will refuse to pay me for what the vehicle is worth because of these issues. It is not fair.

I am not happy with the way the vehicle was repaired. I want new bumpers and the scratches, stone chips, rust, brakes screeching, smash and grab, material on the passenger floor to be attended to when I bring the vehicle to have the speaker replaced. Otherwise I want another vehicle exactly like the one I have.

I was operated on, on the 24th of September and should have been off for 6 weeks because of the nature of my operation, but I am back at the office hence the delay for my email.

I do not want to be advised about wear an tear, I did not have the car long enough for this to happen. I know that all these issues were picked up when this vehicle was traded in or bought, and i also know that the price is was traded/bought for was relatively low.

This is day light *******.

Nicole
