false advertising and bad service

I purchased a luxury 2nd hand vehicle from them in June 2016.

There were numerous faults on the vehicle that was not fixed prior to advertising and selling it to me.

The sales person promised me that there were no faults and that a so called "80-point check" was done

There were half-hearted promises made to rectify this but nothing was done.

There was also said from management that the vehicle was sold to me with the knowledge that it was still under the manufacturer’s warranty – as if this gave them a free pass to not have to repair anything before they advertise it for sale.

I had to drive 2x 980 km and wait almost 3 weeks to have a serious oil leak fixed that their “80-point check" missed.

They also said that there was no paintwork done on the car but after I had it to a local panel beater to check a loose rear bumper they said that the bumper and whole right side of the car has been resprayed.

The car was also "sent for road worthy" but when I eventually received the registration papers about a month after I purchased the car it did not have a road worthy certificate.

I had to take it for road worthy and register the car on my name in my work time and with my money and when I wanted a refund for this they said no they will not refund me. This is after I paid R5000 for "on the road fees" when the vehicle was purchased.

This is now more than 6 months later and they are still full of excuses and zero customer support.

They did not even reply to my last email sent almost a week ago.

These are only some of the big issues I had with them, there are numerous smaller issues that I’m not even mentioning here.

I would not recommend this dealer to anyone - and if you do decide to use them, make sure that you have all their promises in writing and make sure you check everything on the car as they like to pass all the faults onto the customer to sort out

Reviewer Update

When I look on hellopeter I see that the Bidvest group gives very poor service in general.

They also do not seem to worry about the reports people write on hellopeter or their googlemaps homepage...
