Excessive and Hidden Service Costs, Dealer denies it.

<p>I took delivery of a second hand VW Up last week Saturday. I've purchased several cars over the last few years and never ever in all my experience have I had to pay such excessive service and delivery costs.</p> <p>I was never sent an Offer to Purchase or detail of the deal before signing. I was made to digitally sign online and then tkaen to the finance lady and sign, before being taken to the sales person and taken through the deal.... and that is when I saw the costs...</p> <p>R5200 for Service and Delivery</p> <p>R1900 License</p> <p>R650 Number plates (OF WHICH I WAS TOLD BY THE SALES LADY I WILL NOT BE GETTING NEW PLATES)</p> <p>R1900 paint protection (installed without my consent or prioir knowledge of this!!!)</p> <p>R5100 smash and grab (this was installed prior to me even enquiring about the vehicle!! and I was charged for it!!)</p> <p>Over and above this, I was charged R650 for mats, R300 for petrol, R350 for RWC, R500 for Valet and R1200 for admin...</p> <p>The only extras I was offered was a tracker and tyre protection. I declined these, but nothing else was offered to me!</p> <p>Please Mccarthy, just let me know if this sounds right?</p>
