I bought a second hand Mahindra KUV100 6+ @ Bidvest McCarthy Volkswagen Menlyn on the 22nd of April’17. I traded it in for my 2013 Cherry QQ 8.TE. All was fine until the 28th of June’17, as I queried about the car licence that would expire in 2 days’ time (30 June 2017). They said that they had to put the car through the road worthy test in order to get the new registration. They gave me a loan car in the mean while, but then I myself had to phone them to ask as to how long this would take – Only to let me know that because of my back right tail light being out (just a small peace) that they cannot put I trough the test. They then sent my car back. Now I have to replace the light before it can go for the test. This was the whole story in a nut shell. To give you a more clear compliant as to why I decided to put this on Hello Peter is the ****ty customer service & the waiting periods.
1) My husband paid a holding deposit of R1000.00 the 8th of April’17 in order to see if I qualified for this buy. He only got the deposit back on the 22nd of June’17.
2) I complained about that how it can take so long to for the new papers to be sorted out
3) I, as a customer had to phone them to keep me updated and I had to take it further as I complained about the poor customer service not informing me, and that I as a Client had to phone them all the time, more than twice, left messages and struggling to get hold of them.
4) They said that they will loan me a car while my car was in their possession to fix the visor and to put it rough the road worthy test. (2 weeks ago, a guy road in the back of my car and chipped a portion of my right tail out) Not knowing that this would cause a problem, they took my car on the 10th of July’17. When I phoned THEM that Thursday the 13th, they told me about the problem regarding the broken light that it had to be fixed before it can go through the test. The sales guy told me that he would try and see what they can get sorted out and get back to me. Monday morning the 17th I phoned them again to ask an update regarding the matter. They said that I had to get the light fixed, before handing the car over to them to go through the test (I found out that the loan car they loaned me was in fact a car that was sold by them. Just so by the way)
5) In the meantime I submitted a compliant to VW themselves –ONLY to receive a mail which they said, since I had a problem with VW Menlyn – I had to contact them directly (So much for taking it higher…)
I am extremely frustrated and angry beyond believe! Why must I, as a client, phone myself and find out as to what the hell is going on, Why not pick up the phone and keep me updated???? I am still not satisfied with their service and its problem after problem I pick up with these people.
