Cruiser nightmare

This is more a compliment than a complaint. I bought a Land Cruiser bakkie from Jaco v Rooyen in Dec 2017 at McCarthy Toyota, Midrand. I did not test drove it because Jaco said it went thru a many point check, his workshop fixed the brakes etc. And it went thru and passed a 'roadworthy' check! Long story short, the engine ran unevenly, the gearbox was/is still noisy, broken rear shock, missing remotes, worn stabiliser bushes, very stiff driver side window winder, broken/cracked rear light lenses, broken seats, filthy inside etc. Most items were fixed and the engine was rebuilt. I fixed/welded the broken seats and replaced the worn windscreen wipers and a many other items myself. Now with the goal posts in sight they are dropping the ball! Continuously telling me 'the book is now closed' and 'it's a used car' etc when the engine is now losing power, the gearbox is STILL noisy and the window winder is getting worse. The DP of this branch, Albert Adams, is extremely helpfull and understanding. The bakkie is going back on Saturday 26th from 8-12 to see if they can fix the power issue which they state is the cause of the power loss. I will still recommend these guys to buy a car from but defintely take it for a long and thorough test drive first! Dont just take the salesman's word or promises. And check if it is in fact roadworthy!
