Cruise Control Fitment Interferes with windscreen wipers
I bought a 2012 Fortuner 2.5D4D from McCarthy Toyota Woodmead Automark.
It had 83000km plus minus on. I asked the salesman if it was possible to have cruise control fitted and to extend the warranty to the Toyota 220000km one.
When receiving the vehicle I noticed that the cruise control unit fitted to the vehicle was an aftermarket one instead of a genuine Toyota part.
I tested it and because it work fine I didn;t want to make a fuss as I good good overall service.
I live in the North West Province in Lichtenburg and only once we had some summer rains I noticed that the windscreen wiper switch can't function on it's fastest setting because the cruise control lever prohibits it from moving down to that setting,
I contacted the dealer frequently and I have not had a satisfying response.
It's a great concern to me as it's a saftety issue. The vehicle is used by my wife and kids 90% of the time and I want the issue resolved.
