Bad Car, bad after care serivce, bad purchase

Hi, I bought a car from your Midrand Dealership on the 25th November, an Opel Corsa which was part of your Sunbelievable special. All went well I was happy with the car. I did not receive the spare key that day and Arthur Matabane, sales person, informed me that he would deliver the spare key and disc to me at the office. About no more than two weeks I received the disc but no spare key, Arthur informed me that he was waiting for it to be delivered from the branch where the car was delivered from. Beginning of January I started seeing a flashing light in the car, the car lost momentum and would take time to accelerate, I informed Arthur and he said I should book it in for service which I did at the Woodmead GM Woodmead as it is closer to my office. I took it in and explained what was happening to the car, they also did a service on the car, and they found out that I needed wheel balancing, skimming of brakes but they could not find a fault with the flashing light. I decided to keep the car at the dealership because the flashing light would appear in the morning. I kept it for two mornings at the dealership, this time having to make my own way home and to work with taxify as they did not have a courtesy car available. They still could not diagnose the problem, I picked up the car and showed them the what light it was, they said it was the oil light and that they would get a device to do an oil pressure test. Two days later I received call and took my car in and they did the oil pressure test and informed me all should be fine but if I see the light again I should come back. Indeed the light did not disappear, I thought I would give it a week to disappear but alas it did not, the light remained and became worse. I called Udeshan and informed him and he advised that I bring my car in. On the 28th February I took my car in and by God's grace the light remained on until I got to the dealership. They informed me that there is a problem with the ECU Board and that it's not connecting or sending signals. They have ordered in a new ECU and it should take about a day and a half for it to be done.

Firstly It's been three months and I am yet to receive my spare key from Arthur, when I emailed him mid January regarding my problem with the light and the spare key I told him that I do not understand the hold up with my spare key as it should have been given to me the day of delivery. I believe I have been very patient with him but he has shown no concern whatsoever. If anything happens to my key or I lock my key in the car I would have to call insurance and that would literally cost me an arm and a leg for them to unlock it. Who would then be responsible for the amount that I have to pay? I surely should not have to cover the cost for such as the spare key should be within my position now!

Secondly this car has apparently been tested with Dekra, whoever tested the car clearly did not do their job, The ECU is very important in a car they should have picked up the problem or were they told to neglect the problem in order to sell the car? If it was should they have not picked up the issue with brakes and especially the ECU Board? If I were to have caused an accident with the car that is beyond my control it was going to be all on me and I highly doubt that you as Bidvest McCarthy would have taken any form of responsibility

Thirdly how can I be experiencing such problems within six months of receiving my car? I have bought a second car VW Polo from your Gezina branch before and had no problems. I dealt with Dior Bester who was a pleasure to deal with. Who showed after care service. Arthur has showed no such thing, no remorse and no care. I want nothing to do with him, I do not want him to call me or email me as it is too late for any apologies now.

I want to know when will I receive my spare key and why my car is having such problems three months in? I am not happy at all. I am not enjoying this car at all, I do not feel safe driving this car on the highway or long distance. This car has inconvenienced my life more than it should, buying a car is a form of convenience but this Opel Corsa has been such a letdown and disappointment. I do not want this car anymore. If it is giving me problems three months in what other problems should I be expecting in the future? As a lady who works part time in the evenings I do not feel safe driving this car in the evening, in a country where the **** statistic is so high anything is possible if my car were to break down. I am utterly disappointed and disgusted.

I expect a response within the next 5 working days.

Maala
