I purchased a used 2014 Corolla from McCarthy Toyota Centurion, I took delivery of this vehicle on 4 March 2015. I have been using this vehicle for just over a month now. The brakes have been making a noise, upon inspection at McCarthy Toyota Centurion it became apparent that the brake discs of the vehicle are faulty, however, the brake pads are still 6mm in width. The manager of the used cars devision - Jan-Hendrik van der Walt, has informed me that the brake pads will last until the vehicle is due for its next service which is at 45 000 km. I was dissatisfied with that response as the noise is still there. He blatantly disregarded my concern and suggested that I PURCHASE a new set of brake pads whilst offering to do the \skimming"for free. The vehicle has already gone in for its 30 000 km service and currently has some 31 000km on the clock. It is ********* to hand someone a vehicle in such a state as the effects could be hazardous. The expense should not be for my account as I was clearly given a vehicle with faulty discs. """
