Alfa Centurion: Nightmare "Service Advisor" delivering terrible customer care
Where do I even start? If you drive an Alfa Romeo and are a customer of Alfa Centurion, then you've probably had the excruciating agony of dealing with the "Service Advisor" there called Thobile Masango. If you're female, you'll recognise her easily... she serves all the men first and then serves the women (with a s***l).
1. Under her watchful eye, technicians dropped soldering iron bits in my boot and when I returned the vehicle to point this out, she asked me if I burnt my own boot with a vacuum cleaner. Then she asked if I smoked, and didn't the burn marks perhaps come from me?
2. Thobile forbade me to service my vehicle annually. You see, I drive very little and need a service annually and not as per the mileage interval. The last time I dropped it off, she kept it for the day, then gave it back to me (unserviced) and informed me that the "oil was fresh" and I should drive 15 000kms and then bring the car back. This, according to her was because all modern vehicles are designed to keep the oil fresh for 30 000kms, or the interval that it takes to reach it. When I was there recently, Thobile inquired why I wasn't servicing my vehicle and imp**** I was doing extended damage to my car.
3. I recently fitted non-OEM brakes. They made a noise and obviously I needed that fixed. At Centurion I was told that due to this, they could not work on the car unless I fitted: New brakes, new disks, front and back - to the value of R16 300. I paid the diagnostics fee of R1300 and left. When I took the vehicle to another dealer, I was told my quote from Thobile was grossly inflated and they could fix the brakes and disks for R9000.
In short, if you want absolutely terrible service and to be pilfered for your cash, then take your business to Centurion. If you feel like you need to be belittled, treated like a dummy and given the incorrect advice regarding your vehicle from a "Service Advisor" with no knowledge of vehicles and zero understanding of the term "customer service" - then Thobile is your go-to.
