Abhorrent

Good day

I trust that my email finds you better than the absolutely appalling mood your employees have left me in.

I am currently at MC Donald’s Parktown Johannesburg.

On many occasions we have received absolutely horrific service from this outlet; however tonight has honestly pushed it.

We ordered and paid for our caramel dipped ice cream cones at the self service terminal. We proceeded to wait for 20min while our order was being prepared. One of the waiters shouted that there is no caramel and all the staff proceeded as if nothing were wrong. I then asked for a refund as that is what I wanted...no substitute. Zandile, the shift manager then says there’s nothing to be done and it’s not her fault that the machines don’t display items as out of stock. She rolled her eyes at me with disdain and walked away.

She was utterly rude and unwilling to assist or provide a feasible solution to the problem at hand. I then proceeded to ask for the store managers number and contact details which she refused to provide. She said she would call the manager when she had a chance. We waited for a further 10minutes and she came back with a a piece of paper and proceeded to instruct me to leave my name and number and the refund will be organized by head office with no timeframe provided.

Zandile Mahlangu has no regard for customers. She is rude and has no value for customer service. She calls me “Gel” in a condescending tone as if I am her acquaintance from high school. The situation deteriorated to a point where I requested the slip as proof of payment and left without my refund.

This situation was not beyond resolve. The staff at McDonalds Parktown are thoroughly void of any regard for customers. This is honestly unacceptable and has left a damper on your entire brand for my family and I.

Kindly advise urgently as my refund is still outstanding and an apology to my Husband, my colleague and I is very much warranted.
