MCCARTHY BIDVEST BURCHMORES MISLEADING THEIR CLIENTS

On the 07/08/2018 I had attended Mccarthy Burchmores Car Auction Durban.

I purchased 2 vehicles at the auction 1) Toyota Avanza 2016 R 165 887 2) Nissan Almera 2014 R 106 720

On the 13/08/2018 I went to collect these cars from Burchmores warehouse. *The first car comes out was the Nissan Almera and the guy notified us the battery on the car was dead due to the vehicle being parked for a certain duration of time which was understandable at the time. He suggested we let the car idle about 20min or so to pick up charge and thereafter we could leave. *The second car came was the Avanza no shocker there battery also dead we waited for 20min thereafter we left. *We drove of with the vehicles. My daughter with the Almera and myself with the Avanza. *While driving down the road I could feel the strong vibrations on the steering and the vehicle just bouncing on the road I was literally veering off the road. Therefore I stopped at the nearby garage in awe of what just happened. *By this time I notice pressure and fuel was low on both the cars. Switched both vehicles to fill up. SUPRISE SUPRISE THE CARS DON'T START.. Top this of the engine light was flashing on the Almera. *I had contacted Burchmores and they advised they will send assistance. Eventually they came , but to late the good samaritans at the garage had assisted us already. * After the fuel and pressure done this car is still bouncing and wobbling on the road, now this is to much for me! I can't drive the car that I paid R165 887! * My mind is made up I don't want these vehicles because no one pays R272 608 and you can barely drive the vehicles from point A to B. *I get back to Burchmores from the garage which was 500km away to see the manager. Mr Shaun Seonundun. *I had explained him the issues I had faced from the time I had left his warehouse. The Avanza suspension looks like is damaged (what I suspected from driving this car). The Almera engine light is on obviously indicating there is engine problems with this vehicle. *He mentioned unfortunately they could not take the vehicles back, he assisted by referring us to their in house mechanic. I had pleaded with the manager to even allow me the option to bid for another vehicle with the same sum of money but unfortunately my plea was turned down *The mechanic was *********** and basically stood smiling at us which infuriated me. He checked the Tyres and the nuts all was loose on the Tyres. *I GOT NO JOY FROM THE SO CALLED MECHANIC! Beside him tightening the nuts. *I left went straight down the road to the nearby Tyre shop because I wasn't prepared to drive that car all the way home with the car still being in that condition. * Now at the the Tyre fitment Centre for an inspection on the Avanza only to find out 2 rims are buckled and 1 Tyre is damaged. Yes u bet your sweet self there I go pay a whopping R1400 just to drive this car home! So I thought I could put the spare Tyre on at this point nothing shocks me about this car and this dealing... No surprise the spare Tyre carrier had been broken and yes no Tyre.. So someone broke the carrier and took the TYRE. SERIOUSLY!! *So on route to going home I decided to take make a stop at the mechanic to do assessments on the cars. *To my horror the Avanza had been involved in a front smash.. The rear carpets on the Avanza had been cut for tampering of electrical wires and it was just covered up with car mats. *Almera was also involved in a back smash and the boot lid pad is missing ... As I said at this stage I am raging. with anger. The log book for the Almera couldn't be issued when we fetched the car due to delays. *I had to purchase a battery for the Almera Yes u guessed it I'm investing again another R1000 on the car that I picked up. It was such a disappointment and I need someone to assist in this matter it's really ridiculous that Burchmores doesn't mention any of the faults on their vehicles on the catalogues...I had went back to to Shaun the manager to assist me following week and yep no assistance Again!.! I perused through their car auction catalogues this week guess what? They are putting up faults on the vehicles on the comments section... YES YES AFTER ME MENTIONING THIS TO THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE MISLEADING THE PEOPLE!
