BURCMORE Durban Live Auction 09 /9/2021

I was at the Burchmore Bidvest auction in Durban today, 09 September 202.1 to bid on a BMW 220i convertible. THIS Review IS NOT SOUR G****S AS I AM REGULAR PATRON OF AUCTIONS SINCE 1985 AND AM A PERMANENT BUYER AT PETER MASKELLS AUCTION. I KNOW AND UNDERSTAND AUCTION VERY WELL.

he bidding started at R250 000 and continued to R290 000 where I was the highest bidder at R290 000. There were no further bids and the auctioneer advised that I should up my offer to R300 000 as this will be acceptable by standard bank. I agreed and suddenly despite the Auctioneers negotiation with me as there were no other bidders, the auctioneer went back to the floor and continued with the bids. The fact is there were no other bids at R290 000 and on this basis he asked me to up my offer to R300 000 as this will be acceptable to standard bank. The negotiation was not with the rest of the bidders but with me specifically as I was the highest bidder and there were no further bids. The actions of the auctioneer in my opinion to go back to the floor and continue bidding despite negotiating and agreeing on R300 000 is considered ********* and completely unprofessional. Off course in this day and age lawless, unprofessionalism and ********* behavior is unfortunately considered normal behaviour.
