Questionable business practice from Mazda
Annoyed At Mazda Southern Africa Mazda East Rand - please can you explain to me how this is possible and what you are going to do about it? So I took my BT50 for a service yesterday to Mazda Eagle Corner. Received a call from the service department saying that I need to replace front brake pads and replace the discs at a cost of R7874 as the pads had 20% left on them and the discs cannot be skimmed, but then I remembered that my front brake pads had been “replaced” at my 90000km service at Mazda East Rand a year ago December 2018.
Please can someone explain to me how my brake pads have used 80% over 15000kms, considering that when I bought the car with 25000km on the clock and the brakes were only supposedly “replaced” at 90000kms for the first time.
From the below invoice and quote you can clearly see that the part numbers are the same!
Makes me think my brake pads were never replaced to begin with.
I need a response from Mazda urgently on this matter, otherwise I will take this further.
