Shocking Service
My story starts from May 2021 when I received my car back after the clutch had been replaced by Mayfair Gearbox Automatic. I had no issues and was happy to have my car back. Not even 3 months later, my car started giving me the same problems it did before I had my clutch replaced. Since the part had a 12 month warranty, I took it back where they confirmed that my clutch was faulty and it needed to be replaced.
They collected my car end of July and I received it back on 18 August 2021. When my car was returned to me, I noticed some things which I raised with MGA and only one was responded to. Firstly, the cover behind the steering wheel was opened on the side and when I asked if that cover had been removed, I was sent photos taken by the technician stating that my car arrived with that cover totally detached (pity I can't upload photos). I can't be asking such questions when I know what condition my car was in when they collected it. I refuted that statement, someone opened that cover, for what reason, I will never know. I was told to return the car so they could clip the cover back. I have had a closed look at that cover, there is no way its ever going to be clipped back as it is now misaligned, the cover needs to be replaced. It really concerns me that someone opened that cover. Secondly, I had masks in my cubby hole and someone felt entitled to my masks. This is another concern because it means that people go through your car looking for something to *****. Thirdly, my car smelled of cigarette smoke for two whole days. As a non-smoker, I have never allowed anyone to smoke in my car and for someone to smoke in my car like that, I find it to be beyond disrespectful.
I raised the above and only the steering wheel cover was acknowledged meaning that *****ing and smoking in people's cars are allowed and tolerated at MGA. I have had the worst experience and do not wish to go back there again, I hope I won't have issues again with my clutch.
