Mayfair Gearbox Brackenfell is the best!

My 2011Jeep Grand Cherokee stopped when I was just leaving my driveway last year in 2020. I immediately called my mechanical warranty insurance who speedily dispatched a tow truck who also speedily took my car to Jeep dealership. A few days later Jeep called to say they couldn’t find any problems. So I went to fetch my car. When I switched on the car the warning lights that were on just before the vehicle stopped were there. So I left the vehicle for them to sort out again. A few days later they called saying they still couldn’t find problems . Warning lights could have been because of dirt or food drops that fell through spaces on the automatic gear changer. Then there was an issue of the air suspension that didn’t do as expected I.e. go down or up. They told me they would test the gas and they ultimately charged me R3000 for regard and R1000 for diagnosis of a fault they couldn’t find that caused the vehicle to stop. On my way back home I could feel the car didn’t drive well but I didn’t know what to do since Jeep couldn’t find the problem. Fortunately were still in lockdown as we still so I didn’t need to use my vehicle much. I recently took it to a tyre shop and they suspected it could be a gearbox, and I took it to Steve’s auto for a diagnostic and they confirmed there could be problems with transfer box but they couldn’t help me. Do I called my mechanical warranty insurance for a list of places I could take my vehicle to other than a Jeep dealership. I picked one closest to me Mayfair Gearbox in Brackenfell. They were meticulous in trying to find the problem. But they eventually did find that the transfer case failed due to failed transfer module. I fetched my vehicle yesterday after repairs done. I was very nervous, worried if the problem I have had for about a year was indeed resolved. I am happy to say my vehicle drives very smooth. I am not even that articulate with vehicle parts but he took his time and was very patient with me.
