Gearbox Missing???What???

<p>My vehicle's gearbox was collected from local dealer by Mayfair on the 24th of April. Every time I phoned them they say they are busy with the quotation. On the 4th of May the Mayfair consultant phoned me with bad news, my gearbox was missing/******. So from the 24th of April nothing was done on my gearbox. So Friday 5 May they found my gearbox again and also sent a quote of over R15 k damage and my gearbox is stuck in 3rd gear. This is not the case as it was only making a noise not stuck in any gears.</p> <p>After discussion with my Dealer's Service Manager we decided to get second opinion and move the gearbox to another place. Today I was phoned and it is only a couple of seals and bearing that needs to be replaced, so I would have paid over R 15 000 for repairs that werent necessary.</p> <p>Mayfair will never see me again.</p>
