****piest service I have ever recieved
My car was towed to Mayfair Gearboxes on the 25th of February 2019. On the 26th of February I sent Daleen the Warranty documentation. On the 28th of February I received a quotation from Mayfair Gearboxes, on the 1st of March I accepted the quotation and committed to paying the 50% deposit. On the 4th of March I received an email from Daleen at Mayfair Gearboxes that they will start with the stripping process ( the subject line changed from “quotation” to “authorization” On the 5th of March, the transmission was to be removed. On the 6th of March I sent proof of payment and Daleen confirmed receipt of payment. There was no authorization request sent to me , the warranty docs were sent to Daleen on the 26th so she could have followed up with SA Warranties then, so I am not sure about this “authorization “ story because she has never sent me anything to authorize. Telephonically I told her that I know that the warranty does not cover 100% of the costs, I am still liable. So if she was waiting for my authorization , why didn’t she send me a request?.. The Warranty was sent to Daleen on the 26th of February and only on the 20th of March she managed to liaise with SA warranties. On the 22nd of March I told her that I will be paying since SA Warranties rejected the claim. At this point I don’t even have a copy of the quote that she sent to SA Warranties, I am not sure if it’s the same quotation that she sent me. On Friday the 5th , Daleen confirmed telephonically that the transmission is ready to be collected from Johannesburg and she will be working on the 6th so she will get a driver to go and collect it, if not then it will be collected on Monday the 8th . On the 8th of April , she sent me an email saying that the transmission will be collected from Johannesburg of Wednesday the 10th of April, and I responded to her saying that as far as our conversation is concerned the transmission was supposed to be there already. She apologised and said that she confused me with another client. On the 11th of April I followed up on the final invoice and asked when will the car be ready. (I still haven’t received the final invoice) On the 11th of April Daleen responded and said that the car is just about done, they will start testing it and it should be ready on Friday afternoon, I sent her an email on Friday 13:35 and she never responded. Today, 15th of April I called her and she told me that the car is about done and it will still take 1-2 days for testing, so we had an argument and I gave her all the facts above and told her that this is bull ****, I was very upset. I sent Daleen the details of our conversation and she responded apologising and said that the car needs to be tested and if it passes testing then it will be ready on the 16th of April. On the 16th of April I followed up again and the car is still no ready. I have never received such a ****py service in my life.
