Waiting period of 4-6 weeks to refund money

I am renting a property in Port Elizabeth for my son who is a student at NMMU.The security gate needed to be replaced and I got a quote from Maxidor in PE for the amount of R6647.34 of which a paid a deposit of R3323.67 on the 1st March 2016 to secure the order.The owner of the property recieved the quote from me and paid Maxidor the full amount of R6647.34 also on the 1st March 2016.After realising we paid R3323.67 more than the original quote I contacted the Maxidor office in PE and explained what happened and was informed by e-mail that the refund will take between 4-6 weeks.This is totally unaccepted and a direct contravention of the consumers act by Maxidor and their head office.
