Shocking service from Maxidor Sandton

I am utterly disappointed with the service from Maxidor Sandton. I contacted them in Nov last year to provide a quote on four trellidoors in my house. The sales consultant came from Sandton and provided a very competitive quote. I subsequently paid the full amount, under their instruction which was over R20k. They promised that installation will be completed in January once the factory reopens etc.

In early January I emailed and tried to call the sales consultant Quincy Khumalo and office manager Sasha Pugin who were dealing with my order to find out when installation will take place. There was no positive reply. I have subsequently called and emailed the CEO: Hakan Sjoberg who advised that they have run into financial trouble as the business is being sold and factory workers are on strike as they not been paid.

Judging from other people’s experiences, it appears this was happening before and this whole company appears to be a ****. I would like to take this up further and perhaps lay a charge and get a court order to attach items and recover some of the amounts we paid.
