Non-Existent Service when you need it most

Having spent a small fortune on Maxidor security gates on almost every door and French doors in our quite large home, we had a problem just before Christmas. Someone snapped off the key in the lock. I called Maxidor and was told they were closed until January. I explained the urgency and that we couldn't access our patio. The lady said she would see if she would find someone and call me back. We never heard from her again. So on January 4th I called just after 8:00am and was told they were still sorting themselves out and they took my number and assured me they would call me back shortly. That was the last I heard from her also.

When you consider the high incidence of armed burglaries and home invasions in South Africa today it is inconceivable that the company in whom you have placed your family's security can just close down and go on holiday over the entire Christmas New Year period. If you are in the security business you need to take the business seriously and make sure that your customers are cared for 24 x 7 x 365. Otherwise you should get into a different business !
