Wrong advertising and attitude to boot

I saw the Office Home 365 package advertised for R799. I thought it was a bargain, so I drove 35km in to George to buy it. In store I tell the lady what I want and she rang it up as R999. I asked if that was right. Only after I took one of the leaflets on display and showed her, she told me it was a misprint. Then she said I must call to make sure of specials before driving so far. I told her I can't call every place to confirm specials. She became snotty and called the manager, who told me they can't give it to me at R799 because a term on the leaflet protects them from misprints. I left and laid a complaint with Jacques from Head Office. He called me back and said one of the owners said they would give it to me for R899, even though it was advertised for R799. The service was at the branch was very poor. The lady was very rude and she gave me a lot of attitude for no reason. The manager was absent and disinterested. That Head Office was unwilling to neutralize the matter, was absolutely shocking.

Hello JamesFouche,

I want to take this opportunity to apologize for the inconvenience caused. From time to time it happens that the printing companies get it wrong and misprints happen. We try and rectify this as it happen but this is not always possible. The only thing we can do is to inform the customer of the change in store when the question arise and to assist as best as we can to resolve the matter. We don't deliberately misprint information as it can become an costly affair. Once again accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Regards
The Matrix Team
