Unable to get tablet thats under warranty repaired

On 16/09/2014 I bought a Fondi 7' 3G tablet and a month later I had to bring it in as it was faulty. It could switch on but couldnt see the screen as it was blurred out and it resulted to it being replaced. A few months later the very thing started again and I took it in on 27 March 2015, I spoke to Michael Brooks whom advised that he will check and get back to me the following day. The thing that really caught my attention was that the previous consultant had told me that they don't check the tablets in store but rather they send it off to be rechecked what the fault is but Michael told a different story. I received a call from Tshegofatso Moloto the following day who advise that the screen had crack into a Y shape. That was impossible as the tablet never fell, it only had the white lines going down that caused the screen not to display anything, and that was told to Michael when I brought in the tablet. I got no joy from both Michael and Tshegofatso as they are not putting blame and not giving me a solution on how it can be replaced. I'm very saddened in the service received. This tablet is still under warranty but I still don't get any help. What should happen now?

Hello lindtn,

Thank you for your post and for taking the time to inform us

We apologize for the frustration that you are experiencing. There is a crack on the screen of the tablet that could only be caused by an impact or by touching and operating the screen with a high amount of force. This crack is deemed as physical damage which is not covered under the warranty terms and conditions of the manufacturer as well as Matrix Warehouse. The store has explained this to you. This damage on the screen can easily be determined by any of the Matrix Warehouse technicians but as soon as there is any need for the unit to be stripped to determine faults, it would then be sent to the authorized repair center of the manufacturer. The store has indeed offered you a solution to replace the screen and have quoted you for tor repair. The store has explained all of this to you but it seems that you do not accept their response. It is not their service at all that is causing the frustration but rather the fact that the tablet has been broken and this damage is not covered under warranty. Unfortunately this breakage will not be covered under warranty.
