I brought a headset from matrix warehouse in 3 rivers gauteng. About a month after purchase i started experiencing a fizzy sound in both the mic and headphones. I returned the headset only to hear that apparently there is nothing wrong with them. Note that these headsets where about R900 and meant for gaming purposes. I accepted the fact that maybe the fault was on my side. Now almost a year later i got fed up with having to unplug and replug the headsets to get rid of the static sound. Still under warrenty I returned the headset for a second time. This time the technician also heard the static sound and we agreed that it will be sent in for repairs. I then received a phone call about a week later claiming that there is nothing wrong with the headset and that I could come and collect the item. Knowing that it is faulty I refused to collect it and demanded that it be sent in until the problem has been fixed. The tell agreed that they would send it in until the problem was found and fixed. I then sent someone to get an update about a month later on how the repairs where going. She returned home saying that the headset has not been fixed seeing as nothing is wrong with it she also delivered the headset to me which I then connected to find that about 5 min into use the same problem would arise. Seeing as my warranty has now expired over the course that it was in for "repairs" I am now stuck with the broken headset with Matrix only having to say sorry but it is no longer under warrenty... ??

Good day Cornelis,
The headset was tested at the supplier with (NFF result) no fault found after three days of testing. The headset was also tested by the franchisee for two days on different machines with no fault found. We could not replicate the problem you are experiencing and therefore the unit has been returned working fine. There is a chance that your device you are using is supplying either too little or too much power. You are welcome to visit the branch with your device to also have it tested.

Best regards,
The 1st time i returned the headset they could not find an issue. Which i could understand seeing as the nature of the issue was unforeseen and would happen at random intervals. Although after waiting almost a year i decided to return it again and luckely the technician was able to hear the noise shortly after it was plugged in ? So why after the techy was able to agree that it had fault would it still be said that it is fine ?

I am really tired of struggling with these headsets and would like to be helped as a customer. I have given the benefit of the doubt to Matrix as I understand that the problem would occur randomly but I am really getting sick of it. If need be I will buy new earphones but then I will certanly not buy it from Matrix. I am not asking for anything unreasonable other headsets work fine on my computer but these cause issues. I paid hoping to get a working product but instead i am left stuck trying to convince you that the product that I purchased from you is faulty and I feel that as a paying customer I should not have the need to do that especially after one of your technicians agreed that the product has fault.

Good day Cornelis
Like we previously explained, we could not replicate the problem and therefore it is deemed working fine. You are welcome to visit the branch with your hardware and we will test it together to see if we can replicate the problem.

Best regards,
I have made voice recordings of when the headsets have "episodes" and will provide even video proof if needed I do not intend to spend a day waiting for the problem to occur. The problem has been replicated once before in your store why is this not enough ?
