SERIOUS COMPLAINT: MATRIX MONUMENT PARK, SKILPAD ROAD
My complaint: Pieter Nel the manager of the Franchise Matrix in Monument Park and his assistant Dwayne took in the following items shortly before Covid regulations were declared in March 2020 and the shop was closed after the Covid regulations and lockdown: 1 Desktop,1 Scanner, 1 Printer, 2 PC speakers and 1 Laptop without any compensation. They told me that it isn't functioning which is not the truth. When I asked them to return it they told me that they got rid of those items. Pieter Nel's attitude towards me was aggressive and unprofessional. Secondly, they told me that they upgraded my current PC and when I've arrived at the shop they told me to pay R1800 for an upgrade and my documents, pictures weren't on the computer. I was ordered to check everything, they were supposed to check everything for all that money paid. He downgraded the computer from windows 10 to windows 7 afterwards. I've lost several documents and pictures in the process. The laptop was slow and then he additionally told me that my current PC's battery is not functioning all of a sudden and that he requires a R1000 to get it replaced. This was dishonest! Everything was functioning properly prior to my handing in my PC to them. All sorts of problems occurred after this episodes at the shop. Also, whenever I have arrived they told me that they had other urgent matters to take care of. On 26 March 2020, I drove 6 times to them and to hear that I should see them at such and such a time, every time. Additionally with my Master Studies I had to wait almost three weeks for my current PC and then the work wasn't done. Also, my mobile phone, they have deleted several pictures and they didn't backup the recent pictures. Currently I drive to Matrix in Witbank from Pretoria and the consultant Mr Willem Coetzer is competent and professional in fixing any matters addressed and requested from him. He said that he could upgrade and resolve all the matters that I have mentioned above. He did upgrade my current laptop and I am extremely satisfied with his at all times professional service. He additionally assisted me with a hard drive and provided the cables that they told me is not possible to find easily. The desktop hard drive I was also told by Mr Pieter Nel, will cost me an additional R3000 to take it to a professional person and that everything on that hard drive is ******* and not functioning. In fact, every item, every single thing I took to them wasn't functioning properly according to his opinion. I was flabbergasted. I couldn't believe that it was all happening to me. The main reason why I did not lodge a complaint earlier was Covid lockdown, personal with my father 's health being in an out of hospital and the fact that I am **** my Masters at Unisa. This is pathetic, utterly unacceptable, extremely unprofessional and this ********** behaviour and is theft. This manager Mr Pieter Nel told me that qualified people like myself shouldn't tell him what to do. And I should have this and I should have that. He is a disgrace to an enterprise like Matrix. I have absolutely no problem in coming to Witbank's Matrix because they resolve the requests and matters at hand. Best wishes, Alethea My****.
