Ridiculous 15% Handling Fee- TOTAL RIPOFF

I bought an XTouch tablet from Matrix on Friday 14/08/2015. The resolution on the device was bad, so I returned it on Saturday the 15/08/2015. The salesman was very friendly and helpful. I explained that I was unhappy with the product and wished to return it. he stated that it would not be a problem, but a handling fee would be charged. What a joke.

I will never purchase another product from Matrix ever again, as this is a total *******.

The customer should be made aware of this fact before they purchase your product, not have to read it in fine print, at the back of the receipt, after purchasing a product.

TOTAL RIPOFF!!!
Hello Nicolette Wilson,

Thank you for your post

We regret that this has caused you frustration. The tablet was tested and there are no faults found with the unit. it performs to the advertised specifications. The item cannot be resold as new as it has been used (even if it is just for a very short while). The store at Lakeside Mall are well within their rights to charge a repackaging fee as stipulated in the CPA. We would like to have the time to spend with each client on the warranty process but clients do not have the time to wait for the time that this would take. It would not be possible logistically. Thus this places the onus on the client to understand the process as laid out in our trading terms and conditions.
