Paid for service not received
I purchased a PC from Matrix Warehouse two years ago, so it is no longer under warranty. It started giving trouble, and I suspected the hard drive was busy packing up. I took it to Matrix for a hardware test, and they reported no hardware problems found, but claimed the problem was caused by malware which they removed. The PC seemed okay, and I paid them. A week later the hard drive crashed. I returned to Matrix to confront them on the issue of the waste of time and money they caused me, and they claim that it was pure coincidence that the hard drive crashed. I have now found a trustworthy PC supplier / service and repair company, and will not ever go back to Matrix again

We received the PC on the 14th of august. When we switched the PC on for the first time it froze up within a couple of seconds. We had to force shutdown the PC due to nothing wanting to work. We then continued to start a complete hardware check including the hard drive, memory and mother board. The test ran for about 5 hours and in this time we could not find any hardware issues. We then started the PC in safe mode in witch we could work on the PC without it freezing up. We did a full malware and spyware cleanup that took another 3 hours to clean. After that we restarted the PC and noticed that it did not freeze up anymore and no lag was present anymore. We tested the PC for the rest of the day without any further problems. You collected the PC the next day, on the 15th. We tested the PC in store to confirm that it was fixed in front of you and you were happy with the results and then paid for the work that was done. You returned on the 31st to our shop and informed us that the hard drive is no longer working. We cannot say why this happened, when at the time all the hardware tested fine. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
