Matrix Warehouse Woodmead *******

I purchased a keyboard from Matrix Warehouse Woodmead shop yesterday. I decided to return the keyboard today (one day later) as we have a unit in the office. I explain it to the manager and he refused to give me a refund even though I have my slip and it was unopened. He immediately tried to tell me that he doesn't have to pay a refund and that the consumer protection act has changed and he doesn't have to. I looked up the consumer protection act and showed him that it states that I have 7 days to return the unit and get a full refund. He phoned the Director who refused to refund me and refused to talk to me. It seems to be a reoccurring problem with them as they immediately told me to report them to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman which I have done. I don't understand why they think they are above the law. I was about to purchase a new laptop so I am very glad that I did not spend any more money with them as I can see that if I had a problem with the unit I would have no joy with them and their lack of service. I called my IT contractor and he agreed that they should have refunded me and I told him not to purchase anything through them either. Matrix Warehouse in Woodmead were very quick to refuse to refund.
