Matrix Warehouse Cresta
I would advise everyone to avoid Matrix Warehouse, especially the Cresta branch. I bought a laptop there which hasn't worked properly almost since the first day. They are unable to repair it and uninterested in doing anything about it - they sent it away and weeks later it came back still not working. Their customer service is appalling. And the franchise manager, to whom I reported it, promises to look into it and report back but doesn't do so.

We apologize for taking this long with the unit, but we also rely on the suppliers to handle the warranty process as fast as possible so that we don't inconvenience our customers. This is special times as most suppliers work short staffed due to the Covid 19 pandemic and this in turn has a negative result on turn around times with warranty claims. As discussed we are pushing for the return of the unit and we will advise of the same as soon as we have an answer.

12 Aug 2020, 16:27Your reply makes it sound as if the problem only occurred now. I have been struggling for SEVEN MONTHS to get a functioning computer. It has already been to the suppliers who sent it back with no improvement and blaming it on the battery, even though I TOLD the Cresta branch to inform them that it was not the battery seeing as we had fitted a new battery (which I paid for, even though the unit was still under warranty because the Cresta staff said it was the battery and I was so desperate). Seven months later and thousands of rand out of pocket I'm no better off. My view is that they sold me a dud and they refuse to take responsibility for that. Companies who treat their customers with contempt don't deserve to have customers.
