Very bad experience at Matrix Carnaval Mall. We bought a pc power supply from this shop. The pc was assembled and did not work. We took the pc in to matrix for assistance. The technition said it should be the power supply. We informed him that it is a brand new one we purchased from them on 31 October 2018. All of a sudden with a attitude he changed his opinion and said that it was the mother board in the pc. He then started to unpack new parts and said we must buy those part to fix the pc. Nothing wrong with their power supply. He kept on hammering us to buy new parts instead of checking for the problem. His grand total on parts came down to about R7600. 00. Now this is where the ******* start. We took the pc to a nother pc technition. Guess what the first thing he did was to unplug the new Matrix power supply and plug in one of his power supplies he stock. Guess what happens when he pressed the power button, the pc started up and worked. I then paid the man R 1200.00 for parts and labor and had a pc that worked. Today 8th November 2018 we went back to matrix at Carnaval Mall to ask for a refund. For proof we took the pc with. As we walked in the technition recognized us, and with grin on his face said "oh you are back". We talked to one of the other people working there and said their power supply is faulty and we would like a refund please. He then said they have to test it first. Which is fair in my opinion. He then asked the technition to test it. So as a result Mr technition started to get a attitude. As he tested it he started to wave about their testing equipment saying "look, look our stuff works" his demeanor was rude and degrading towards us. I then picked up the pc same one he said we had to replace all those expensive parts. I told him to plug it in and switch it on. With an attitude he did. Guess what the broken pc according to him powered up and worked. In my opinion I think this is a deliberate rupoff and this matter should be refured to the consumer counsel, because matrix refuse to refund us because of the time period. We where in their shop on the 8th of November where by their technition did not even test the power supply nor the mother board ore any other parts. He sumply just tried to bull dose us into buying new expensive part. In my opinion just bluntly rip us off. My question now is. Is this how matrix operate, and if this is their way of *********** consumer's I can not and will not recommend any body to support Matrix.
