Matrix goes back on their word
On 04/11/2014 we bought 2 Toshiba C50-B0490 laptops from your Alberton branch. In May the one laptop started becoming slow and crashing occasionally. Another issue was that the 6 button on the number pad seemed to get stuck at times - it would repeatedly type sequences of 6. On the 21/05/ 2015 we booked in the laptop because it would not boot up and we mentioned the problem with the 6. The laptop was sent to the supplier and they replaced the hard drive. All was fine except that the 6 still got stuck. On the 9th of June we returned to see Deon to discuss this issue as the laptop was used for business. He assured us that if something is wrong he'll replace the laptop. The laptop was again sent to the supplier but was returned \no fault found". We returned on the 16th of July after the person using it refused to work on it any further. We dealt with Johan and he witnessed the problem happening. The laptop was then sent away to the supplier (Mustek). It was returned as \""no fault found\"". When we phoned Deon to clarify he became defensive and pretty much told us we can keep our business"
Thank you for your post.
Neither Matrix Warehouse nor Toshiba is able to replicate the sticky key issue that you are experiencing. Although the PC did show the problem when it was brought into Matrix Warehouse it has not once been replicated under testing. It appears that there is an external component that is causing the error and it is not the PC itself. At this time there is no fault visible on the laptop. If the hardware was faulty in any way the claim would gladly be processed. We regret the frustration that you are experiencing with this issue but it is not the laptop itself that is faulty.
