Don't know who the older lady behind the counter is, don't wish to know either. Urgently needing a replacement graphics card for my business desktop, I went to the only place open until 15h00 on Saturday, having called ahead to check stock. After selecting R1300.00 worth of card and new fans, my Gold business debit had an issue and declined the transaction. Confused I called the bank to sort it out. The line was breaking up badly and was unable to correct the issue. I asked if I could do an on-site EFT. This according to Grumpy was not possible as the funds would go into an international bank account and would be difficult to trace. Really? I'll check with SARS if this is legit! Ok, I'll do a cardless cash withdrawal from the ATM 4 shops away I tell Grumpy. Huffing, she tells me " we close in 10 minutes, tapping her watch. I say, you aren't prepared to possibly wait 5 minutes for me? She stares at me like I'm asking her to take a bullet for me!!!!!! Despite my desperation to acquire the goods, I pushed the goods back to her and said she has a stinking attitude, sucking service and did not deserve my business. The poor sales guy face fell to the floor. Sorry Oakkie that you work with people who only care about knock off time. I'm curious to know if she's an employee who reached her best by date of an entitled owner. Nevertheless, hard-pressed or not, Matrix Gift Acres will not see me again. I encourage business owners to create a culture of finding solutions to customers problems, not adding to them.
