Matrix Fourways Mall - Client Dispute for Underspecified product

I submited the e-mail below to the matrix headoffice, havent gotten a reply:

This e-mail serves to loge a dispute for an incident that occurred at Matrix Fourways Mall, dated 16th March 27.

On the 16th I provided Kyle with the detailed information below for a product solution for our recording studio:

“We require a Bluetooth receiver or bluetooth speakers(With Audio/jack -output), of price less than R300-00. This is to be used in our studio by visitors in order to provide wireless streaming and playback of music as we need to do away with cables/jacks. It has to have low noise to signal, excellent reception in long distance operation, at least 10meters as we have one already bought for R120-00 and it is not perform optimally. This receiver will be connected directly to the main mixer and act as a receptor. ”

further to the above I did explain plainly to him that the very same solution/product is obtainable at Game store just across the road, but I was not so confident with the Game’s product(that It might be of inferior quality) name and that their pricing was more higher. I have shown him the below screenshots of my whatsapp conversation with my friend.

Based on the above description, Kyle brought us a Logitech Wireless Speaker X100 and he assured us that it meets the above specification and that It has headphones-out port which can be used to connect to our studio mixer. He also assured us that if we are unhappy with the product we can return it within 7 days for full refund. I opened the product on the evening of the same day and I was disappointed to find out that it doesn’t have stereo-out but instead stereo-in, next day the 17th March I made a call to the store in the morning and I informed them of the product not meeting my specification and I was asked to come to the store for a refund. However when I arrive at the store in the afternoons, I was informed that there is no refund but that I have to put extra money buy Genius Bluetooth transmitter which cost close to R600-00. I was very disappointed and upset about this as 1) the R600-00 it is not in our budget 2) Genius products are not reliable(We had long history of product failure from this manufacture). I declined this option and I was given the second option to get in-store credit but this was due for approval by the head-office. I agreed to this as it was just enough and as a matrix loyal client, I will be able to use this credit on my next in-store purchase. Final agreement I had with Kyle was that he will get back to me on Wednesday the 22nd to update and/or inform me of the feedback from the head office on the matter.

As a matrix loyal customer I am highly disappointed at this kind of treatment, and I feel like I am being taking advantage of by Kyle. Matrix Warehouse it is a reputable countrywide store and this client misinformation/under-specification should be dealt with diligently and not be swept under. In my 15 year of computing I never had a problem with Matrix store, be in Eastgate Bruma, Northgate, Hatfield or any other Branch I visited I have always received an excellent client treatment and preference even in the cases wherein the product failed while under my hands. I have always been happy visiting Matrix stores…

Thus this is a call for you to take an action and revert back to us.
