laptop returned faulty

We took our laptop to Matrix warehouse on the 8/05/2015.a guy by the name of Calvin booked it in and promised to call us after a week because the laptop would have been fixed by then.weeks went by and still no call from calvin on the 5th may,we decide to go back to fetch the laptop only to find that the laptop was, still not fixed and calvin was not available in that day,so we decide to leave the laptop,Calvins colleague tells us,that he wil check the laptop and call us as soon as its fixed
indeed on the 7th we get a call from Calvin's colleague telling us to come fetch the laptop
to our surprise when we get there,we get told that the laptop cannot be fixed but had to pay R150 for diagnosis
they don't even tell us what's wrong with it.
I am really disappointed in the service we received and from Matrix,I strongly believe some parts were taken from our laptop. I mean why did it take so long for them to check the laptop and get back to us.i would really like to be refunded the R150 that we paid for nothing and our laptop parts put back because the only issue, was the power button ,we don't understand why that can't be fixed .

Hello babakanhleiks,

Thank you for your post

The technicians tested the entire PC to assess what the faults were. They determined that the power button was faulty. They attempted to mend the button but were unable to do so. They tried to call you 2 days after it was booked in on the number provided to them but were unable to get hold of you. The power button needs to be replaced and they were contacting you to advise you of this. The charges are for the time spent assessing the fault and are completely feasible as labor is not free. Regrettably this is not refundable. We apologise that we were not able to contact you to effect the repair completely.

Best regards,
