GETTING MUCH LESS THAN YOU PAY FOR

I took my computer in to Matrix Warehouse Bluff as it was not working. I was told that I have to pay R250 to cover the labour of checking the computer. I gladly paid this. My slip reflects "Labour". When I phoned to find out what was wrong with the computer I was told that they could not fix the computer. My husband went there to collect the computer and was told that he had to pay R250 labour. He paid it as he did not know that I already paid the amount. When he got home I told him that I did pay the R250. When I phoned them, this is the explanation I got. You have to pay R250 just to book in the computer this is a fee for the work involved to book the computer in and their willingness to accept the computer. (Work involved, take your name and tel nr, print a slip and let you sign.) If they have to look at the computer it is a further R250 and this is apparantly company policy. I phoned their head office and spoke to Michelle, who forwarded my call to Westley who was going to discuss the matter with his manager and ask Dion, who is apparantly the person who deals with customer care, to contact me. Needless to say I have not had any feedback from anybody.

Good day Suzette

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and that the technician didn't inform you correctly about all the pricing / costs involved. The store has indicated that they are more than willing to refund you the R250 and the manager has conveyed this message to you telephony as well.

Regards

The Matrix Team

GoodDay

Cornelia from your head office did phone me. She handled the matter very proffesionally and confirmed that the information I was given by the store is in fact not correct. She assured me that the matter will be handled internally which I appreciate. The fact that she contacted me shows that Matrix as a company do listen when their customers have a complaint. I appreciate her gesture to refund the additional R250 which I was charged. Well done on handling the matter and resolving it. All too often companies ignore problems and just sit back and wait for it to go away by itself.
