False Advertising
Recently I went to The Matrix Warehouse, Kolonade Retail Park to buy an external Toshiba hard drive as advertised. In the adverti*****t they do NOT mention a specific model / item or product number ONLY Toshiba, 2TB, USB3.0 external hard drive, while stocks last. So when I inquired about the product as advertised I was told they do not have stock! So I took a photo of the Toshiba, 2TB, USB3.0 hard drives in their display case. There are at least 4 hard drives IN STOCK. So I decided to phone the MD, Mr Jan Boshoff who also confirmed that they were out of stock even after I told him they have stock in their display case. He insisted that the ones currently IN STOCK are different than the ones advertised. I beg to differ, as the adverti*****t read Toshiba External Hard Drive, 2TB, USB3.0 and that is exactly the products they had in stock at that stage, there was NO reference to a specific model/item or product number. So I insisted that I buy the product at the advertised price of R999, but Mr Boshoff insisted they were different products and I was forced to buy the product at an inflated price of R1299. I pointed out that the items on display are EXACTLY the same as in the adverti*****t as the adverti*****t does NOT refer to a specific model / item or product number. So I told Mr Boshoff that he is misleading the public by false advertising. Please Mr Boshoff show me in the photos which I have available how are the products different and out of stock!??

Like we explained the special has sold out and there were no longer hard drives available under the same item number. This was a batch we received intended for the special only. We do apologize that we could not meet your expectations this time. Hence the reason we advertised the special with "Limited stock"
