Burnt hard drive

On Monday 20/04/2015 I went to matrix to have my external hard drive formatted upon arrival the technician (Etiien) assisted me,he then tested the hard drive and found it to be working and told me that he will be able to assist me,he told me that I'm come back after an hour to come and collect it.When I came back I was told that the hard drive is burnt and is not working and that the store is not taking any responsibility of it!!!

I even called head office in Alberton and I spoke to Deon de Wet and he told that after investigation that the shop SAYS they are not taking any responsibility of what to the hard drive!! He then advised to call the shop and ask for the contact details of the shop owner to have this sorted.

I'm not able to get the contact details of the shop owner because the staff at the shop are not able allowed to.

Please assist anyhow

Regards

Hello skosanod,

Thank you for your post

While the hard drive was plugged in to initiate the format it started to burn due to a short in the unit itself. It was by coincidence that it shorted while it was in the store for formatting. This could have occurred at any time. We regret that the drive has been damaged but it was unavoidable.

Best regards,
