Bad Service

I took my laptop in to be repaired as it was malfunctioning and was not loading the operating system properly. After 3 weeks and numerous phone calls I was told to collect my laptop as it was repaired and in working order.
That evening I tried to work on it and it was in exactly the same condition - not working. Again, I had to waste my time dropping the laptop off again only to be told a few days later that the hard drive could not be repaired - after they had so called 'fixed it\. This cost me R550 and wasted 3 weeks of my life.

They then offered to place a new hard drive because apparently they had backed up ALL my data. I had them put in a new hard drive so that I could retrieve my lost data. Again

Hello JTaylor86,

Thank you for your post

We regret your loss of data and we understand your frustration but unfortunately this was unavoidable. The first charge was for back up format and reload which is fully justified. After the PC was fixed the hard drive happened to fail which is no direct result of work done by Matrix Warehouse. This was a mechanical failure and not software related. All tests run initially did not indicate any hardware issues. Matrix Warehouse transferred the data that could be accessed and installed the hard drive at no cost besides the R699 for the hardware itself. Data is the possession of the user and needs to be treated accordingly. If data is important then it should be treated as important by the user by adequately backing it up. Matrix Warehouse does not accept responsibility for lost data and an indemnity has been signed regarding this.

Best regards,
