Bad service
Friday afternoon after 2 months I received my mecer laptop back in a bad condition.I requested a quote to replace the USB ports on 18 May 2015 (CRO Number 003713).I received a quote on 3 June 2015 USB replacement R1249,00 and for screen repair that I was surprised because the screen was in 100% working condition R3049.00.I rep**** to the sms on 4 June 2015 to give the go ahead for the replacement of the USB's and stated that the screen was not faulty at all and don't need any replacement. On the 10 & 11 of July 2015 I spoke to Deon ***) at HQ about the problem and told me that Roy will call me to sort out the problem.Roy only called me (Private number) on Friday afternoon 17 July 2015 when I was in the store to collect the laptop, he informed me that nothing could be done to fix the screen and that it need replacement and is not his problem. He told me that it is like taking your car for a service and something breaks while in for service or when you receive it and it is not his problem, what a bad example from him it never happens to me and his example is totally wrong.I didn't took my laptop in for service but for replacement of the USB p
Thank you for your post.
Matrix Warehouse would like to apologise for your frustration. The PC was brought in with liquid damage already present on the bottom portion of the monitor. This was pointed out and a quote for replacement of the USB ports and monitor forwarded. During repairs the screen suffered a complete failure as no direct fault of the repair but rather due to the already present liquid damage. Roy corresponded with you on the 13th already and received an email in response from yourself of the SMS sent to you notifying you of the eminent monitor failure. This SMS reflected that the PC would be uneconomical to repair. The response received was that the USB ports must be repaired and not the monitor. The instructions were followed as it was received.
Best regards,
