Bad products and shocking service

It has been a great displeasure dealing with Matrix Warehouse Computers. I purchased an Amacrox "Universal" Notebook Adaptor on the 6th June. The front of the box clearly states "compatible with all major notebook brands", with the backside listing HP as one of the supported makes. On returning home I found that it could not be attached to any of three different HP notebook models, nor either of the two HP docking stations that I had available.

On the 27th June I attempted to return the adaptor to the Princess Crossing branch in Roodepoort, claiming that the product did not conform to what the branding on the box suggested it could do. The staff informed me that "Ja... it doesn't fit all models of HP", and "Sorry, you can't return it because you've had it for more than 7 days". I then pointed out that I was in no way made aware of the 7 day return policy, which is also not stated on the receipt. Their response was "You should've brought your laptop in to check it". I haven't had to deal with such simple-minded arrogance in a long time. Be assured, I will be raising a small claims case against Matrix Wareshouse Computers. What a waste of everyone's time for a valid R650 claim. Useless.
